1. PJ has taken to getting the peanut butter out of the cupboard, jelly out of the fridge, pointing at the bread and insisting on having a PB&J as soon as we get home. He has created his own afternoon snack.
2. It's okay to give your kids peanut butter before they are one. Ask Maggie.
3. Small baby showers are better because when someone registered for and receives the shopping cart cover, all the moms can tell the mom-to-be it's absolutely not necessary, and that you'd end up forgetting it half the time anyway.
4. The fact that a cupcake restaurant opened two blocks from my building is incredibly awesome.
5. Did I mention they have caramel apple cupcakes?
6. Did I mention how much I love those?
7. I'm disappointed in NY & Company's line of clothes lately.
8. I discovered the Limited and am quite pleased.
9. I'm going to eat steak tomorrow. And black cherry martinis. And eat a meal without wiping a face, washing a spoon, or yelling at someone to sit back down.
10. But I'll still miss my babies.
11. PJ has the exact same color eyes as I do.
12. Did I mention the cupcakes?
Mmmmm. Cupcakes---> Insert Homer Simpson drooly face here....
ReplyDeleteI love that you're not all spastic and worrywart0 like with your kids. It's refreshing, and way les annoying than other mom's attitudes.
Have a great time tomorrow night!!!
Cuuupppppccaakkeesssss.........
Speaking of spastic, it's good that I can not manage to leave a comment without inserting random numbers and misspelling random easy words....
ReplyDeleteMmmm now I want cupcakes. I have been pinning lots of cupcake recipes lately- I think to mostly torture myself. I liked the shopping cart cover for when Ryder was not always super super good at sitting up, then if he kind of fell ore a bit he didn't get hurt- but after about a month I never used it anymore.
ReplyDeleteI'm blog hopping along and found your comment somewhere. LOVE the blocks background. I don't shop for myself, like...ever, but I did venture into NY & Co a week or so ago, and was severely disappointed. Of course, I only shop the clearance racks, but still, I usually find a cute top. Notta.
ReplyDeleteJealous of your kid free dinner. Way.
I'm going to disagree on point 2...only because I listened to that exact advice and my baby had a fairly significant first reaction. NOW, I certainly agree that giving it to him before one or after 3 would have made no difference in his reaction (I think if you have the allergy, you have it regardless of when it's introduced), HOWEVER....had he been 3, he could have told me instantly that he felt his throat closing, or that he was getting sick. From a mom with a peanut allergy kid, it has been an eye opening experience and one that I constantly fear others will not understand the severity of. I never did, until he reacted. Throat closing, no breathing, could die kinda thing scares a mom like me every single day. :( Boo.
(did I mention I love the blocks?)
I'd be in trouble if there was a cupcake shop near me. I've been very disappointed in many clothing stores--crap quality at ridiculous prices.
ReplyDeleteWhat a big boy PJ is! Hey you could live with him making his own snacks. When I used to work, I used to LOVE clothes from the Limited. Now those clothes are just hanging in the back of my closet LOL. Hey send a cupcake my way!
ReplyDeletePJ is so grown up! Good choice on his part too - PB&J is perfect for all occasions. I think my box of apple muffin mix will have to suffice for the killer cupcake craving I have now - Thanks ;-)
ReplyDeleteI just made cupcakes the other day with my kids...yum!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know what, it's a good thing that PJ likes to make his own sandwiches. He could be like my kids and act completely helpless. That boy will be completely self-sufficient by the time he's 6!
And now I want cupcakes! Yum!!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree on NY&Co, what's up with them? I'll have to check out The Limited. Haven't been there in a while.
So jealous for #9!!! Hope you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteAnd cupcakes...yuuuuuuum!
I want a black cherry martini and it's 7:16 AM.
ReplyDeleteGreat...now I want cupcakes too!
