Words. Rolling. Birthday.

Maggie rolls from back to tummy now.  Yay!  And let me tell you, girl does NOT stay on her back okay?  The moment I put her down on her back, by the time I turn around, she's on her tummy.  She's trying to move.  I think she wants to play with her big brother.  I should enjoy this while it lasts, because I have a feeling in a year the love and happiness between them is going to be replaced with whining, crying, and yelling.

PJ.  That kid learns a new word every day I swear.  Grandma, duck, stuck, uck, ick, not to mention all the other words he's saying that we can't understand yet.  Did I mention my happiness will be two in LESS THAN ONE MONTH??? DID I?  Well he is.  Shrek invites ready to be mailed on Monday.  Cake ordered. It's insane.  He's been having nightmares so almost every night for the last 3 hours of the sleepytime he's in our bed.  Which on one hand works out because then I don't have to worry about Mags waking him up, then trying to deal with both of them and get them back to sleep.  We did order him a BCM though so this weekend we're going to try to keep him in his bed.  Though I do love when he cuddles with me. :)

We're going to dinner Tuesday at Ruth's Chris to celebrate what would have been Pop's 57th birthday.  A big crew of us going -- about 15.  We are actually taking the kiddies because the wonderful people at Ruth's gave us a private room.  So if PJ starts throwing goldfish, at least he'll only be hitting family.  I'm making a little keepsake for John, Jenny and Aly that hopefully I will have some time to do when Johnny boy isn't around.

Sidebar.  I love quotes.  I have a quote book I bought my senior year of high school, and went through and highlighted all the quotes I loved.  In college, I'd write a different one on my dry erase board every day.  I recently discovered this book again, and decided I will post a daily quote on my blog -- even if I post nothing else, there will be a quote.  So today's quote is one of my all time favorites.

"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world."   - Anonymous.

Go be the world to that person.

I love chicken enchiladas.

This is what I am making for dinner tonight.  They are so damn good.  And so easy, thanks to my handy-dandy crockpot.   I cannot wait to get home and eat them, and then I get to eat them AGAIN for lunch tomorrow!  Yay me!

My beautiful little girl decided to get up at 515 today.  Not sure why.  Probably had something to do with the damn dog, but then of course she was fast asleep again by the time we left the house.  She also woke up twice to eat, which is weird.  Still a growth spurt?  Perhaps.  Going to try to keep her up till 730 tonight.  :)

PJ is just amazing.  Everyday I look at him in amazement at how smart he is; at the things he's figured out.  For instance, he likes grabbing one of the XBox controllers when John is playing.  I took the batteries out of the back, but he wanted the case the batteries go in.  I gave it to him.  Within minutes, he'd figured out how to snap the back back on the controller.  He understand when we ask him to get something, and he always gets the right thing.  He puts our shoes away where they go, knows where the hot dogs, cheese, pretty much any thing he likes to eat is.  He's so adorable and smart.  He gives hugs and kisses, and blows kisses goodbye.  He says hi and bye to everyone he can and is such a good big brother.  And he is OFFICIALLY in 2T clothes. Have I mentioned that? :)

It looks like I might have scared off the rude poster. No comment on the call out.  Of course, I'm pretty sure I know who it is.  A little birdy told me.

Maggie is on her way.

So it's official.   Maggie will be here in approximately 12 weeks.   I am sure she won't be early like her big brother -- not sure why, I just have this feeling.  So I am going to have a daughter.   It's so weird to say that.  Shifting gears seems weird.  For the past, well 19 months I've been in boy mode.  Boy clothes, boy toys, boy nicknames, boy, boy, boy.   Now I have to deal with a husband who's "reading up on guns" so in 16 years when "she has boys come over I'll be ready."  Sigh.

This is the hottest summer since 1995.  I am not making this up.  It's weather fact.   I knew it would be -- well not the hottest since 1995, persay, but fucking hot -- because I get to be pregnant for the ENTIRE SUMMER.  From the moment it starts to the moment it ends.   Everyone keeps saying how it will be nice because when Mags is BORN it will be cooler out.  Um, I am going to be in a HOSPITAL when she is born.  With AIR CONDITIONING.  I don't give a flying fuck if it is 110 degrees out the day she is born I am not delivering in a field.  So how does this HELP me?  It doesn't, so please just shut the fuck up.  And I am sure if by some ridiculous twist of fate there is a terrible storm and the power goes out everywhere else in the state of Illinois, all of the hospitals will STILL have power, thus STILL having air conditioning.

So anyway.   My little Maggaroo is coming.   I am predicting October 19.  I plan to stop working October 13 (that's a Wednesday, nice short week to end my stay).

PJ is STILL in the throwing stage.  Which SUCKS.  He'll throw anything and everything, especially food, and it just SUCKS.  Because he cries when you put him in time out, and I am not entirely sure he has any idea why he's in time out, but so be it.  He's still fucking adorable, and can now get on and off the couch without any assistance whatsoever.  Which is kind of good, because I don't really have to worry about him falling OFF the couch anymore, but bad because I am sure eventually he's going to try climbing up the back of the couch.

Ahh, toddlers.

I love you my happiness.  Both of you. ;)

2 Under 2 HERE WE COME!

YUP!!! BFP!!! Tuesday night we were eating dinner, and John goes:

"You know, you might as well just pee on a stick tonight."

"Really?  I can."

"Yeah, why wait till morning?  Then you'll be rushing."

So we finished eating dinner and I went to pee on a stick -- well pee in a cup, to insert the stick into, because lord knows I am NOT coordinated enough to actually pee on the stick without peeing all over my hands.  PJ and I went to talk to John in the kitchen.

Go back in the bathroom.  Still an hourglass.   Wait a few seconds.  Back to the kitchen.

Repeat.

Repeat -- wait.  OH MY GOD.  It says PREGNANT.  PREGNANT.   Really?   I could not believe it.  I mean I wanted it, but I was shocked it happened so fast.  John kept saying, "the 'not' just hasn't shown up yet.  I just kept staring at it so excited.

"PJ!! You're gonna be a big brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
