Friday Frenzy

I have a whole bunch of stuff to say and it doesn't really relate, so there ya go.

First of all, my baby girl is 8 months old today.   My gorgeous girl.  Standing.  Trying to cruise.  Eating.  Being adorable every single day.

I had a job interview this morning.  The job was perfect.  Absolutely perfect. 

Until they told me the vacation time.

One week.  Two weeks after two years.

I currently have four weeks.

I can't give that up.  I'm disappointed, but hopeful for something else to come along.  Because I hate my current job.

I leave for vacation three weeks from today.

Super excited.

Well, I have an interview.

I haven't gone into much detail about how much I hate my job, but I do.

I cannot leave one minute early or I get in trouble.  Despite being here between 10-15 minutes early daily.

Even though no one I work for and no one my teammate works for requires it, if she is off I have to stay till 5:00 instead of 4:30, which as you nursing moms know, changes the whole evening.

If I'm not here, she can't leave early no matter what.

They don't care about us at all.

So I've been looking for another job.  I desperately want to get out of downtown Chicago. I've been down here for 11 years.  I hate dealing with the train.  I want a job I can drive to.  So if one of my kids is sick, I can leave without having to wait for a train.

So if my day ends at 4:30, I start going home then.  Not at 4:57 when the train leaves.

This job, well, it COULD be perfect.  It's in a suburb SW of me (very close to my parents).  The expressway is 2 minutes from the sitter.  I could visit my mom at lunch.  We eventually want to move that way.

I need the pay to be no less than $3,000 per year than I make now.

and I need at least 3 weeks vacation.

If I get these things, I will take the job.
