those of you country fans out there probably are now singing Darius Rucker's awesome song by the same title, and truth be told, that's kind of what inspired this post.
PJ's started saying more stuff. "What's that?" "Ucky mama?" - every time he sees dirt, every time I change his or Maggie's diaper, every time I wipe something, etc. There's a lot of "ucky mama" in that little boy's life.
Sometimes I get tired of answering yes, but I know soon enough he won't be saying "ucky mama" anymore and I'll want it back.
Mags is being clingy. Super clingy. Like if I leave the room and am out of her sight she flips out and comes crawling as fast as she can. Separation anxiety. PJ went through it. He still has it every now and then. Sometimes it's a little frustrating. But then I remember that someday, she won't care if I leave the house, much less the room. So I scoop her up and hug her and tell her it will be okay.
She wakes up 2-3 times a night still. That damn second tooth is coming in. I did succeed in not nursing the last time she woke up last night. I get tired, but then I remember sometimes when I walk past PJ's door and I have to go in because I need to see him, because he doesn't usually wake up. How I actually miss being able to cuddle with him during the night. And how nights when he does wake up, like last night, I love how he reaches his arms out to me when I open the door and scoop him up and put him back to bed.
It's hard for me to believe that PJ is already over 2. How much of a little man he's become. How he has such personality, such strong opinions. It's hard for me to remember when he was Maggie's age. I look at pictures a lot and he's grown up so much. But I love the age he's at now, and I can't wait till Mags is this age and PJ is 4. And how much fun we'll have.
